The BARBA STATHIS Primary School Educational Program "Take a step towards healthy eating" promotes the nutritional value of vegetables

BARBA STATHIS is committed to promoting the nutritional value of vegetables to children by investing in innovative programs and novel initiatives. Through the new Primary School Educational Program, "Take a step towards healthy eating,” the company launched a series of guided tours for schoolchildren at its facilities in Sindos, engaging the young visitors in educational activities and experiential games.

The "Take a step for healthy nutrition" Primary School Educational Program is addressed to preschool and primary school students in Thessaloniki and the neighboring regions of Central Macedonia. The program, which started in October 2022, has already welcomed almost 200 students aged 5-12 years and will continue running until April 2023. 

As part of the program, children attending preschool and primary school have the opportunity to visit the BARBA STATHIS production unit and museum space to learn useful information about all the stages of cultivation in agricultural production, the nutritional value of vegetables, and the critical issue of food waste. Through tastings, interactive games, and sensory exercises, the children can gain an understanding of the importance of the Mediterranean diet and create their own tasty recipes based on the nutritious vegetables of BARBA STATHIS.
